Switching brains and other clichés
Damn, once again the writing staff is going for clichéd plots. This is why the ratings slipped in the first place last season. I’m worried for the show if it continues to be this unoriginal. They need a staff that will think outside the box. Fire all of those who don’t understand the conventional Henry Adams story. Why don’t they just get a tight writing staff who each writes three episodes rather than let half of the staff be weak, uncreative writers.

I’m sure they would rather spread the writing assignments out evenly than to force people (many of whom are fathers, I’m sure) to be unemployed. Think of the children, Cookie, before you make suggestions like you have.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. This has been done time and time again. I mean “Freaky Friday” alone has been remade about 15 times.

Don’t forget “Vice Versa” and “Like Father Like Son.”

That’s not the same thing though.

Re: Switching brains and other clichés
It isn’t like the switching brains thing but it is similar to the last episode (unfortunately).
Sepia – regarding the children; if their fathers aren’t good writers, they should have chosen another profession.

Re: Switching brains and other clichés
But you’re saying they’re bad writers. I think they just had a bad story to build off of. Maybe the entire writing staff comes up with the plots and they just get assigned what will happen. I think the dialogue and jokes were fun so it’s not bad writing...it’s bad story ideas.

Re: Switching brains and other clichés
I’m sure they come up with their own story ideas for episodes like this which are non-sequential and stand alone.
