How did you first discover Henry Adams?
How did everyone stumble upon the brilliance that we call Henry Adams? I’ll start. I was waiting at the bus stop and all the kids were making fun of a boy saying “You watch Henry Adams” and singing the theme song. I knew about the show because I had seen the merchandise in stores but I was probably the only kid there who hadn’t actually seen it. So I wanted to know what the big deal was and to know why people would a) know about it and b) deny watching it. So I tuned in and instead of seeing something goofy, I actually found something rather ingenuous. The episode I saw was a repeat (“The Woman Who Cried Monster”) but then they aired a new episode the next week. And what do you know? It was “Papercut, Part One.” What a lucky time to tune in. Well, then I started watching during the summer when they started reairing the original episodes and caught up, all ready for the second season.

I also stumbled upon it by word of mouth. But it was actually some people I know that work in entertainment in Manhattan. They were talking about upcoming shows and they said that “Henry Adams” could possibly catch on. So I guess I was one of the few non-production people who was aware of the show before it even started getting promoted. And, of course, when I looked it up online and saw David Galagos’ picture, well, I had a rather good incentive to tune in, too. ::winks::

I simply saw it flipping channels. It looked exciting and I kept flipping back, thinking it was a TV movie. I was shocked when I found it was a weekly series.

Haha, I read that like “f***ing channels,” you know ‘cause “flipping” can mean “f***ing” like “crap” means “s**t.” So you were like, “flipping channels!”, and I pictured you throwing a remote at the TV.

I saw it advertised on a bus and I thought it looked like something up my alley. And what do you know...I was right. But when I saw it on TV, I had forgotten about the advertisement but after a few seconds realized – THIS IS THAT SHOW THAT I WANTED TO WATCH! It was meant to be!
