I can see the similarities but this episode was more about a car out of control than a car that was friendly. Yes, it becomes alive but it’s more of a plot to endanger Henry than to help him. They also focused quite a bit on the test drive, the used car salesman, Henry’s desire to get his first car so it was more of the plot about Henry growing and evolving on Earth than just a car that had human like characteristics.

Henry Adams doesn’t rip anything off! There are just a lot of ideas that are recycled in Hollywood, and it’s nobody’s fault. Over time, you have to repeat things.
