Surprise Soup answer
Jason Eggert wrote me back regarding the Surprise Soup.

CDaddy –
The point was that it was something nonsensical (hence how the clues do not add up) but a coworker pointed out that all the clues do have one common thread – rosemary. So I guess that is the secret ingredient that shall not be named. But I really had nothing in mind unless unconsciously I ended up describing that ingredient.

So I’ll add it to the FAQ.

Re: Surprise Soup answer
Pretty cool, CDaddy, man. And because it wasn’t explicitly stated and you only found out from an inside source, only our tight circle will know about RIITSS. “Rosemary is in the Surprise Soup.” We should speak about that in a private code so newbies can’t distinguish our inside info. Just every now and then shrug and say “Hey guys...RIITSS.”

Oh, RIITTSS, I got coffee all over myself. RIITTSS I’d better be careful because I have allergies. The first one was like “oh, rats”, the second is just an acronym that will not be explained.

Re: Surprise Soup answer
If we start using that acronym, I’ll have to put it in the FAQ along with the other acronyms we created so people can follow.

Re: Surprise Soup answer
Yeah but no reason to punish people because they joined late. Plus they can just look it up in the archives.

Re: Surprise Soup answer
No it’s our own private acronym. If they review the old posts, then they can know it too so we’re not being mean but if they don’t take the time to read what had previously been posted, then they don’t deserve to know. RIITSS

Re: Surprise Soup answer
It’s dangerous. Should we RIITSS it?
